Tamarack Lodge is now official certified by Connecticut to reopen on May 20th! This certification helps provide rules developed by public health officials. These rules include info for Tamarack about physical distancing, hygiene, sanitizing, protective equipment and more. We will continue to share information as it becomes available.

COVID-19 Friendly Weddings

Tamarack Lodge is offering COVID-19 Friendly Weddings, two different alternatives for couples whose initial wedding plans were cancelled or rescheduled. It’s hard to imagine what this global pandemic will be on our society, but one thing we’re sure of is LOVE WINS! While working under the guidance of state Gathering Regulations, we’re offering these Micro Weddings.

Option one is a “Drive-In Wedding”; Tamarack, Heartfelt Ceremonies and Allie Dearie Photography are offering a series of Drive-In Wedding ceremonies where couples will be able to get married in front of guests watching from their cars. These special ceremonies will be short, sweet and include Exchange of Wedding Vows with CT Justice of the Peace, a Verified Signature & return license to Voluntown, CT, professional photographs of your ceremony and a couples portrait session with an online gallery, two red roses for the couple and free popcorn for up to 20 guests. These are only available on Memorial Day weekend, May 24 and May 25. The package value is worth $1,700 but only costs $757 plus tax.

Option two is a “Last Min-Wed” featuring 4 hours of indoor reception venue ceremony, lawn games, firepit, centerpieces, soft drinks, coffee, tea and a champagne toast for up to 50 guests. This option is only available weekdays, Fridays, Sundays and can only be booked 6 months to the date. More guests can be included in the “Last Min-Wed” package for an additional cost and catering must be hired by a licensed caterer from an approved list. The package value is worth $2,892 but only costs $1,900 plus tax.

Marriage licenses previously obtained from a different city will be honored for the town of Voluntown, CT (great for our COVID-19 Friendly Weddings!).

Located on the border of Connecticut and Rhode Island in Voluntown, CT, the Indie Glamping destination is a hidden gem offering a whimsical destination in the middle of the Pachaug Forest.

We want to address the ongoing concerns over the current flu season and the COVID-19 virus. We understand the impact this is having across the map and we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients and community members. Due to advisements by the State of Connecticut and the Governor, we are taking the precautionary steps for everyone’s safety.

We are postponing both of our March events; the St. Patrick’s Celebration with the Old Fiddler’s Cub and The Billy Pilgrim Band on Saturday, March 14th as well asthe Celtic Forest & Fairy/Grimm Psychic Bazaar on Sunday, March 15th. The Psyhic Bazaar will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 7th and the St. Patrick’s Celebration date is TBA. As of right now, all other previously booked events for 2020 and weddings are scheduled as planned.

Along with the State of Connecticut, Tamarack will be taking additional steps to ensure the health and safety of our patrons as well as our employees that include, but not limited to:

• we are also encouraging more frequent hand washing by staff members.

• As always, we are asking that any employee who does not feel well stay home, or work from home, if possible.

• As an extra safety precaution, we have made surgical gloves available for all operational employees to wear while carrying out their daily duties.

• Increasing the number of hand sanitizers and making them readily available.

• Increasing surface wipe-downs in common areas and increased bathroom cleaning operations.

• Increasing fresh air inside the venue.

• We are encouraging all Delivery and Operational Teams follow the recommended safe, sanitary procedures.

As a consideration to your fellow patrons, we ask that our event attendees please follow the State of Connecticut recommended everyday preventive actions:

• Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.

We are closely monitoring the CDC and World Health Organization for ongoing updates and will continue to adjust and advance our practices as recommended.

If you wish to connect with us directly we are more than happy to chat with you!
