Firstly, What Exactly is GLAMPING?
“Glamping is where stunning nature meets modern luxury. It’s a way to experience the untamed and completely unique parts of the world—without having to sacrifice creature comforts.
The way we travel has changed. We no longer want a generic, one-size-fits-all vacation. We want to explore on our terms and immerse ourselves in local culture, and we no longer just want to simply witness nature—we want to live in it. A fusion of glamour and camping, glamping is a way to authentically experience the most awe-inspiring locales around the world.” – Glamping.com
“It’s much more than a nice tent.
The glamping movement is growing, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. Across the globe, you’ll find incredible destinations, each offering their own unique advantages. You can wake up in a yurt on a mountaintop. Reside in the forest canopy in a treehouse. Take in the panoramic views in an eco-lodge. And that’s just to name a few. ” – Glamping.com
So what is INDIE GLAMPING ™ ?
Our marketing guru Amylu Meneses actually came up with the definition! Influenced by her love for Indie music and culture and independently owned businesses, INDIE GLAMPING ™ was born!
“Indie Music meaning: Any music that is produced and released by independent bands or independent record labels, and consumed by adolescent and adults under 35 yro. Examples: Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Decemberists, The Arcade Fire” – Urban Dictionary
The Indie Glamping ™ experience Tamarack offers comes in a few different options! Including 28 acres to explore, access to Pachaug State Forest and Beach Pond, Kayaking, Lawn Games and of course awesome food accommodations crafted by On The Spot Catering!
There’s also a ton of fun, local activities nearby like vineyard and brewery tours, museums, a water park, fishing, skiing, swimming, etc.
1. Vintage Cabins – Stay in our quaint little 1950’s cabins that once were chicken coops when the property was a farm in the 1800’s. Mismatched vintage furniture, comfy beds, private bathrooms, electricity and a campfire located right outside your door!
2. airbnb Guest House – A cozy, 2-floor guest house remodeled to be a Bed & Breakfast with private bathrooms in each bedroom, separate thermostats for heat and air conditioning, baby cribs, additional cots for children and a shared living room on the main floor.
3. Camping Trailers – Bring your own camping trailers and park them onsite! Parking is usually close to the cabins.
4. Camping Tents – Bring your own camping tents! Picture this…friends and family rent the cabins, park their trailers, setup some tents and you have an all weekend family and friends Indie Glamping getaway!!
