Welcome to Tamarack Lodge
| Once an abandoned wagon wheel forge, the Tamarack Lodge was
purchased in 1945 and began as a family resort in 1947. Named
for the Tamarack trees located on the property, this rustic
estate with 28 wooded acres abuts Beach Pond and Pachaug State forest.
The Tamarack is now a country lodge
featuring family dining, an exceptional Sunday brunch and special event
catering. The property changed hands in 2007 and has been completely
renovated and refurbished. Several small rustic dining rooms and a
full service bar, as well as a large banquet room overlook our wooded
acreage. Hard wood floors and exposed beams enhance the décor as well as
the original pulley system and jigsaw. The large stone fireplace is a
quiet and warm haven for a cozy tête à tête. Our friendly, welcoming and
knowledgeable staff completes this warm ambience.
The lodge can
accommodate any size group from 10 to 200 for your specialty catering
needs. Outside, the sky’s the limit on our lovely wooded landscape
complete with outdoor pool. Enjoy picnics, bbq’s , a pig roast or
clambake…you name it. Our grounds are also the perfect backdrop for your
wedding ceremony. |
From time to time, Tamarack Lodge may be closed for a private party. Please call ahead to make sure we are open before you visit.
We will post dates here, as we know them.
Please note:
There will be no "Music & A Grill" on Sunday June 28 due to a private
party. However, Tamarack Lodge is open for brunch on that day.
